The Yoga Light Centre is a beautiful sanctuary accessibly situated in the heart of Ruthin, a charming medieval market town in North Wales and an area of outstanding natural beauty. Inspired and designed by owner, Ceri Lee, the Yoga Light Centre is a community focussed holistic hub built on yoga’s true nature and ethos; to join, merge and unite. To support and meet people where they are at on their journey towards creating health in body and mind.

The Yoga Light Centre currently consists of four wellness practitioners who between them offer yoga classes, yoga teacher training, sound therapy, massage, touch therapy, Reiki, Pellowah, and psychotherapy.

I discovered yoga in 1993 through books while beginning an acting career. A regular practice brought a calmer mind, greater strength and flexibility, and a natural shift toward healthier eating. By 2000, I felt called to teach professionally, training with the Yoga for Health Foundation in the UK in Remedial Yoga, and at the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Ashram in India, where I experienced a disciplined spiritual path and physically demanding practice. Summers spent as a karma yogi at Sivananda Headquarters in Canada deepened my immersion in yogic life, heightened my energetic awareness, and led me to Reiki, completing attunements in 2005. Motherhood arrived in 2006 with the birth of my first son shortly followed by his brother. While raising them in Essex, I continued teaching yoga classes and retreats internationally. During this time, I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. Through mindset, nutrition, yoga, and Reiki, I learned to manage my health and witnessed how stress held in the body can lead to pain or illness, while yoga and energy work support release and healing. In 2018, I returned to Wales with my children and opened the Yoga Light Centre in Ruthin. A renovation project that took six months to complete. Transforming a Victorian derelict shop and self-contained ground floor apartment into a yoga studio and ideal space for anyone seeking natural, healthy lifestyle practices, healing, and transformational growth. Following a hysterectomy and surgical menopause in 2020, I have taken further training in menopause yoga and coaching. I continue to teach weekly yoga classes, run international retreats, online programs that support wellbeing and more recently we had the launch of the Yoga Light 200+ Teacher Training Course… a 12-month course for the next generation of yoga teachers.
