Lock Stock Self Storage Ltd supports households and businesses across North Wales and beyond who need additional space, often during a period of change. For individuals and families, this might mean storing belongings between house moves, during renovations or when circumstances change at home. For businesses, it can mean space for tools, equipment or stock, helping them manage day-to-day demands and adapt as they grow. The service is designed to fit around those needs, with different unit sizes and round-the-clock access so customers can reach their belongings around work, family and business commitments. What stands out about Lock Stock is the team behind the service. Colleagues are willing to go the extra mile for customers and one another, working together to resolve problems and keep things moving. That practical, personal support matters when storage is one part of a much bigger change in someone’s life or business.

My nomination may have my name on it, but the contribution I make is possible because of the team around me at Lock Stock. My colleagues keep their own areas of work moving while also making time to help me, one another and our customers. Their knowledge, cooperation and willingness to go the extra mile have helped me settle in quickly and take on new responsibilities. Across operations and compliance, getting something completed often depends on several people playing their part. I help coordinate and follow through on actions, but it is our combined effort that gets things done. I’m proud of the difference I have made, and equally grateful to the people who enable me to make it. This recognition is an opportunity to thank them and acknowledge what we achieve together.

I joined Lock Stock Self Storage in January 2026 as Operations & Compliance Coordinator. This was a newly created position that brought together a substantial proportion of responsibilities previously held by a colleague who had left the business, alongside scope to develop the role around the company’s needs. With no formal handover, I took responsibility for understanding the existing requirements, establishing priorities and developing an approach that maintained continuity while identifying opportunities for improvement. My work includes introducing global contracts, simplifying processes, documenting health and safety compliance and coordinating projects through to completion. The role requires both independent judgement and flexibility, balancing ongoing responsibilities with new priorities and supporting the business where and when needed. My proudest achievement has been becoming a trusted source of support for managers, taking ownership of tasks and progressing them with minimal direction. Through this work, I have helped save time and money and reduce pressure on colleagues, while continuing to shape the role as the business evolves. These achievements depend on the team around me. Their knowledge, cooperation and willingness to go the extra mile enable me to make an effective contribution. My nominations for the Women Professional Excellence Award and Women Rising Star Award are an opportunity to recognise both my own development and the shared effort behind it.
